Venturefest Bristol 2012, the premier event for technology business activity in the city region, will take place on Wednesday 7th November at the UWE Conference Centre, North Entrance, Frenchay Campus, Filton Rd, Bristol BS34 8QZ.
This free, all-day, event is aimed at SMEs looking for funding opportunities and support, investors looking for new opportunities, and researchers looking to commercialise their work, as well as larger companies looking for opportunities for collaboration.
Venturefest Bristol 2012 will feature inspirational speakers and practical workshops, with space for the South West’s innovative companies to tell their stories. Attendees will be able to pitch for funding, learn new business skills, make vital contacts and meet with like-minded people to discuss ideas.
“Venturefest Bristol 2012 will provide a high-quality environment in which businesses will be able to have genuinely productive discussions throughout the day with a whole range of individuals and organisations. We want entrepreneurs to go away with clear ideas on what their next steps will be,” says Lorelei Hunt, director of Science City Bristol which is organising the event. “We know that deals are rarely finalised at events, but we do expect that real business will result from the contacts made and conversations started at Venturefest Bristol 2012.”
